Seventy Six
Breathing together, for everyone, and each other,
Moving forward each day with Phipps.
Come what may, we promised each other,
To light the flame of love by the day, with hope and determination as a mix.
Clouds went dark, there was no light,
Words exchanged, life questioned, soon the sky went eclipse.
Then came the day, a move was made,
People roped in, you left without a script.
Doomed inside the walls, without an optic,
Days, passed, nights fell, the number was seventy six.
The ring of the bell, the catastrophe that fell,
I heard a voce, that never sounded well.
Yet I smiled out of joy and gayety,
I knew I would see you after a dire longevity.
Donning the same attire, carrying the very same fire,
I saw you sitting unsecured, confused and in a fix.
Back in your head, you too counted the days,
Well, for you too, they were seventy six.
The conversation that went by, those hurting phrases from thy,
Were embedded in a brain so weak, so meek, just like a prick,
Time takes it all, I know you too were struck by the number seventy six.
A trippy mind and that negativity behind,
A wall that stands between you and me, a wall stronger than mortar and bricks.
A wall that bold, a person that ever belonged,
Neglecting all else, he is ever too strong!
To satiate the glory, he made every and all trips,
Amongst all, you forgot the days that went past seventy six.
That memory you smiled to, that giggle which went way into,
I saw what led me to conflict,
I judged the people whom I need to make peace with.
Adieu went as you left without a hick,
Leaving behind the sorrow of the days that went past seventy six!
